Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfers
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows students to transfer previously earned academic credits into their current Woolf degree program. If you have completed relevant university-level coursework at another institution, you may be eligible to apply those credits toward your Woolf degree, reducing your required coursework.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for a credit transfer, your previous coursework must meet strict academic criteria. The Academic Committee evaluates requests based on:
Accreditation: The credits must have been earned at an officially recognized and accredited higher education institution.
Relevance (Mapping): The prior coursework must directly match the learning outcomes, academic level, and ECTS credit weight of the specific Woolf course you wish to bypass.
Grade Minimum: You must have achieved a satisfactory passing grade in the original course.
How to Apply for RPL
Because every academic history is unique, RPL requests require a comprehensive manual review by our Academic Committee.
To request a credit transfer evaluation, please submit a Support Ticket with the subject line RPL Request: [Your Full Name] and include all of the following mandatory documents. (Note: Requests missing these documents cannot be processed).
Official Transcript: A high-resolution scan of your official transcript from the previous institution showing the credits and grades earned.
Course Syllabi: The official, detailed syllabus for each course you are trying to transfer. We need this to verify the specific topics covered and map them to our curriculum.
Woolf Course Mapping: Clearly state exactly which specific Woolf courses in your current program you are requesting exemptions for.
Processing Time
Please submit your RPL request as early in your enrollment as possible. The Academic Committee's review process is highly rigorous and typically takes 2 to 4 weeks to complete. You will be notified of the final decision via email.
Please note: If your transfer credits are approved, they will be applied to your academic record. However, the grades earned at your previous institution will not be calculated into your final Woolf GPA.
