πŸ“¦ Bulk Upload Activity

The bulkUploadActivity mutation starts an asynchronous bulk import of student activities β€” grades, feedback, submissions, and content consumption β€” from a single file. It returns a jobId and a signed uploadUrl; you upload an NDJSON file to that URL and Woolf processes it in the background.

Input Parameters

This mutation does not require any parameters.

Response Fields

Returns a Json object with the following fields:

Field

Type

Description

jobId

String

ID of the import job. Store it β€” you need it to check results with jobDetails.

uploadUrl

String

Signed URL to upload your NDJSON file to.

headers

Json

Headers to include when uploading the file to uploadUrl.

How It Works

  1. Call bulkUploadActivity and store the returned jobId.

  2. Upload an NDJSON file (max 20 MB, one activity record per line, no enclosing array) to uploadUrl, sending the returned headers. Each line has a mutationType (Grade, Feedback, Submission, Consumption) and a payload with the activity details β€” for grades, feedback, and submissions, the same fields as the addGrade, addFeedback, and addSubmission inputs.

  3. Check progress with Get Job Details, or subscribe to the ACTIVITY_UPLOAD_FINISHED webhook event to be notified when processing finishes.
