Archiving a Program Without Affecting Current Students

How archiving a program affects enrolled students

Overview

Archiving a program in the AMS prevents new enrollments but does not interrupt progress tracking or degree issuance for students already enrolled.

What happens when you archive a program

  • New student enrollments are disabled.

  • Existing students remain active and their progress continues to be recorded and synced.

  • Degree issuance and graduation workflows for current students continue to function normally.

How to archive a program

  1. Open the program settings in the AMS.

  2. Change the program status to "Archived".

  3. Confirm the change and notify relevant teams or stakeholders.

When to contact support

Contact support if you notice any issues with student progress syncing or degree issuance after archiving, or if you need assistance changing a program's status.
